A very unusual Victorian brass ships light which we have never seen before.
It stands 31cm high with two iron swing handles and measures 14cm base diameter.
There are 6 panes of rectangular glass around the centre alternating blue (presumably giving green light for starboard) and clear finished in copper. One blue glass has a small corner missing and the other two have cracks running across them. I didn't have any blue glass to restore this! The bottom twists off to reveal a brass candle holder. Good patina and a happy find!
