A great find - a brass and copper Chance brothers sector lantern circa 1900 with fresnel lens.
Two small chips to the lower dioptric.
Lens surround painted red.

The Chance brothers were amongst the earliest glass works to carry out the cylinder process in Europe and the company became known as 'the greatest glass manufacturer in Britain'. The company was started in 1822.
