Royal Navy issue Mess plates in the Queen Victoria 'Young head' design dating these plates from 1880-1906 production. Earthenware made and transfer printed. Depicting a repeated scene of sailors, cannon, a ship, flags, a drum, an anchor and Queen Victoria in a cartouche surrounded by foliage with a rope twist border. Chain link circular border with a crown to the centre and the Mess number. No damage.
