A pair of copper and brass Port and Starboard oil lights made by E. Martin & Son of West India Dock Road as stated on the label. I googled this road and the history is fascinating, a real area of diversity in it's day. I didn't find a reference to E. Martin but there was reference to several ships chandlers. I would say they are early 20th century denoted by the carrying handles. The insides of the lights are the most intact I have ever seen. One shade is broken, but there nonetheless! They stand 28cm high excluding the handles.
