A whaletooth nicely detailed with the whaling ship COMET of Hull contained within a rope twist border.

Measures 9.5cm x 5cm.

The Comet was a vessel of approx 300 tons, ship rigged and  built on the River in 1791. she was still employed in whaling in 1840. The owner was J. Smith.
