A superbly engraved turned ivory pill box with gold coloured metal circular border. With two warships engaging above the inscription 'THE GLORIOUS FIRST OF JUNE. ADMIRAL EARL HOWE. 1794'. Inlaid in red tortoise shell to the insides. Measures 5.5cm approx diameter. A really very fine example of workmanship.
