In the same style and proportions as the previous Nelson tyg but for the Coronation of Edward VIII who was never Crowned. The only Nautical connection with this item is the Flank between the handles showing Brittania and ships . From having the Nelson Tyg's I rather fell for their splendid quality and felt this would look good along side the others . According to the Spode museum it would seem that this edition, again for Goode's of London, was to be numbered, this one is 23 on the base. One can only assume there would have been a stop off number, but if there was I do not know it. For sure it would have been cut short due to his abdication.
