Eleven historic whaling photographs, framed and glazed. I haven't done much research on these yet but I am pretty sure the Whalers were based in Dundee, Scotland. They date from the late 1800's to the early 1900's and we see them as a fascinating piece of whaling and social history of that area. The first image depicts a gentleman by the name of Sandon Perkins aboard the whaler 'Morning' from Dundee in 1906. Balaena, Eclipse, Windward and Morning are all whalers photographed in the images. Melville Bay is mentioned as a destination. Measure 39cm x 32cm.
