A super quality English made 'HUSUN' 3 circle frame micrometer sextant made by Henry Hughes & Son ltd for Dobbie McInnes, who were established in 1841 as makers of navigational instruments.
Looks as complete as they get with electric lighting, mirrors, shades, sighting tube & erect star telescope, lubricating oil and brush. The wooden box has great quality brass handle and hinges.
This is literally the last in the line of the unmachined frames, ones dated after this were machined and crackle black painted.
