A rare dish from the Guion Line shipping company.  Crossed flags for USA and England with a surround of green seashells and foliage. Marks to the reverse for 'THOMAS HUGHES. BURSLEM' The Liverpool and Great Western Steamship Company, known commonly as the Guion Line, was a British passenger service that operated the Liverpool-Queenstown-New York route from 1866 to 1894. There are not many surviving items from this line..Measures 28.5cm wide by 23cm x  3.5cm deep.
