A super admiralty pattern Dent binnacle. Dated in pen inside the door 1906 by hand but under the compass card is dated 1890 which is the patent date for this style of Binnacle. It went on to win the Admiralty contract. Complete with original gimbal compass, locking arm, the hood with oil lamp holder, flanking slide, bevelled glass cover, broad arrow and marked patt 20 and turned carry handle. 28cm high by 21cm square base.
