A good original example of a Davey & Co oil passageway lantern with makers plate to the front. In 1885 Arthur Christopher Davey began the company which evolved into the manufacture of marine equipment. They moved from Leadenhall street to their famous address of 88 West India Dock Road, London E14 where it successfully traded for 100 years.  Bevelled glass all round, fretwork surrounds and burner with wick and shade. All ready to go. Stands 31cm high.
