Carronade on a hard wood carriage.

A carronade is a short, smoothbore, cast-iron cannon which was used by the Royal Navy. It was first produced by the Carron Company, an ironworks in Falkirk, Scotland, and was used from the mid-18th century to the mid-19th century.

This is of a steel lined aluminium design, an original steel one would be around the £2000 mark.

This could be used for re-enactment purposes with a steel sleeve of 5mm. When I puchased this there was a video of it being fired!

Bore hole 6cm. Carronade length 74cm. Carriage 65cm long.

The hard wood carriage has cross strengtheners and steel wheels on steel axles.
