A pair of French painted Mussel shells both signed 'Calais'. One depicting a fisherman with his boat at the shore and ship to the background, the other a fisherwoman with her net and boats to the background. Really well painted and a lovely array of colour from the polished shell. Measure 19cm x 10cm and 19cm x 9cm. The woman is slimmer!
