An Eight Reale or Pillar dollar dated 1736 from the Phillip V Spanish reign. What is known in pirate folklore as a 'piece of eight'. Well worn and has clearly passed through many hands over the last 300 years! Comes with a certificate of authenticity that it was recovered from the Dutch East Indiaman 'Hollandia' wreck which was sunk in 1743.
